We’re excited to share the first press release of the STEM Pathways project, an 18-month European initiative bringing together partners from four countries to help parents support girls’ interest and engagement in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Why does it matter?
Gender stereotypes can influence girls’ aspirations from an early age, contributing to the “dream gap” and making STEM careers feel less accessible. STEM Pathways aims to challenge these stereotypes, promote inclusive education, and empower parents to become active supporters of their daughters’ STEM journeys.

Discover STEM beyond the classroom!
Our new interactive STEM Map brings together science museums, planetariums, technology centres, makerspaces and other STEM-related places across the partner countries — helping families discover opportunities for learning, curiosity and exploration.

Representation matters
Through our “Women Who Inspire” resources, we also highlight women in STEM and encourage girls to see themselves as future scientists, engineers, innovators and problem-solvers.

Over the course of the project, we’ll develop a parent toolkit, deliver workshops and national information days, and bring the project community together for a final European online conference.

Every girl deserves the opportunity to dream big — and the support to turn those dreams into reality.
