RADICAL GAME

GAME-based pedagogies for Youth-Led Dialogue and Active Citizenship to prevent Discrimination and RADICALization

Radical Game aims to:

  1. bridge policy, research, and practice in preventing youth radicalisation through a cross-sectoral and transnational collaboration,
  2. develop youth engagement, participation, and prevent the spread of radical dogmas and ideologies using game-based pedagogies, and
  3. implement a participatory action research methodology to democratize the co-creation of new knowledge related to civic engagement and prevention of radicalisation.
  4. enhance the capacities of youth practitioners and strengthen transnational and cross-cultural collaborations in the field of radicalisation and civic engagement.

The above-mentioned objectives will be achieved through:

  • the development of a “Radical Game” for youth, which will help promote active citizenship and prevent the risk of radicalisation,
  • capacity building of 90 youth practitioners and 120 young people,
  • virtual transnational round tables with 40 relevant stakeholders, which will aim in the co-creation of a Policy and Practice Recommendations Guide,
  • continuous dissemination, including a social media campaign, local events, short videos, and final conference, to finally reach about 300,000 EU citizens.

During its 24-month lifetime, RADICAL GAME will directly and indirectly positively impact at least:

  • 50 youth practitioners, youth, and ‘Prevention of Violent Extremism (PVE) experts from the five partner countries, who will be part of the project’s User Review Panel and participants in the National Alignment Workshops,
