Press Release
Release of Training Curriculum for Law Enforcement Staff | July-August 2025
The DISMANTLE – Improving police response to discrimination, racism and intolerance consortium announces the release of the English version of the Training Curriculum for police officers and law enforcement staff.
The 20-hour in-class training curriculum, developed under Work Package 3 of the DISMANTLE project, is designed to equip police personnel with the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively address (intersectional) discrimination, hate crime, and intolerance, including racism, antisemitism, LGBTIQ+phobia, and other forms of bias.
The curriculum was built on the needs identified through the research that has been conducted in Germany, Greece, Cyprus and Spain.
It incorporates key topics such as
- unconscious bias,
- victims’ rights,
- non-discrimination law,
- intercultural communication,
- data protection, and fundamental rights.
The Training Curriculum supports in-class, instructor-led delivery and will soon be available in German, Greek and Spanish.
It also serves as the foundation for the upcoming e-learning platform, which will enable autonomous asynchronous learning for wider access and future replication.
