More than pleased to announce the official kick-off meeting (17.12.20) on the ‘DIGIMI – DIGItal storytelling for Migrant Integration’ project!! Despite the #COVID-19 challenge, the partners had the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas, describe the main points of the work structures, and getting to know each other better.
DIGIMI has as a key goal the involvement of the local community to facilitate social integration of migrants through digitally narrated stories and volunteering activities. Storytelling is an engaging and efficient way for recently arrived third-country nationals to exchange, compare and combine their stories with local people and peers as vehicle for mutual understanding, knowledge and social cohesion.
During its 24-month lifetime (01/12/2020 – 30/11/2022), DIGIMI will creatively involve and positively influence:
👉 At least 700 migrants and refugees
👉 At least 500 professionals (trained on storytelling techniques)
👉 At least 500 organizations (outreached)
👉 At least 150 policy makers (sensitised)
