The DAY project aims to empower young people and youth workers, by enhancing their skills through the use of digital tools for advocacy. In particular, the project will train youth organizations on procedures and tools of digital advocacy. Its objectives are to:
- provide young people with new ways of participation in order to be more active citizens and advocate their positions
- enhance the capacity of youth organizations on digital advocacy
- optimise current approaches to digital advocacy
- create more dynamic and impactful opportunities for youth organisations and foster cooperation on EU level.
The project will promote an alternative way of involvement through digital advocacy, where youths can directly speak of their opinion and concerns, propose solutions, bring awareness to the issues that affect them, and claim their rights. Through advocacy, young people will have a direct role in creating solutions for their problems and the changes they seek in the world. Their direct involvement in the major current issues, will improve their readiness, awareness, and critical thinking. The target of our project is to increase active citizenship and through the success of the future digital campaigns, to give confidence to young people that their initiative can play a major role in forming future societies.
Its concrete results include:
- a Comprehensive Report, including Best Practices;
- an Education Tooklit
- an Online Hub-platform for youth advocacy.
